Eat & Walk Your Way Through San Antonio! San Antonio is a perfect girls trip location. If you are looking for delicious food, a bit of history, mixed in with lots of shopping, you should check it out. Not only is it perfect for all ages, it accommodates for all price points. Here are a few tips, facts, and awesome places I discovered in San Antonio (with my bestie at my side) that you should discover too!

Highlights

1. Go see The Alamo! Honor TX history by checking it out. Its FREE you do not need to do the tour. 2. All museums are FREE on Tuesday (there are MANY)! 3. The river-walk is perfect for getting your steps in and grabbing food, BUT go check out The Pearl District. FILLED with trendy shops, a frenchy bakery, restaurants, and ALL DAY happy hour Monday’s at Bottling Department. 4. Go see Hotel Emma, or stay there! It is an incredible place and jaw dropping decor and design. 5. Go get a spa service at Hiatus Spa + Retreat. Check out their deals on Travel Zoo! Zen mode. 6. Check out the San Antonio Zoo! They have a ticket special on Groupon ($12) Also at scheduled times through the day you can feed the giraffes. 7. If you want a drool worthy meal go to Boudro’s. Get the shrimp and grits, I REPEAT, shrimp and grits. Also try a fun prickly pear margarita! 8. You can basically walk everywhere from the riverwalk hotels (minus the airport, but it was only $15) so you’ll save on Ubers! 9. Texas people may hate me, but we tried Whataburger and it was just “okay” :) 10. Our favorite bars where Esquire for a prohibition type vibe as well as Soho for unique martini’s they inspire based on your taste buds! 11. Grab a “marg to go” at the many shops, you can sip along the river walk, but dont fall in! Its a $500 fine per the locals 12. Ride in the new river boats! Take as a shuttle or guided tour! Was very educational. 13. Go see the Mexican Market, and do some window shopping and grab a bite to eat at the 24/7 resturant Mi Tierra Cafe 14. See San Antonio from above at Tower of America 15. Go to the oldest resturant on the riverwalk Casa Rio, get the tacos and get the pablano sauce. I could probably drink it, it was tasty! Sit under the colorful umbrellas. 16. We loved every local coffee shop we tried 😍 17. Take a nighttime carriage ride through downtown!
