My Top 5 In Las Vegas

Updated: May 28, 2023

Viva Las Vegas.

Viva las vegas! Obviously known for gambling, raging parties, various performances, and bright neon lights. We went for a multi-generational girls trip! Me, my mom, and grandma, who better!?There really is something for everyone, even if you aren’t into the party scene or gambling. Here are my top five favorite things during my time in Vegas.

  1. Go see circue du soleil! Specifically The Beatles version at the Mirage hotel. This is coming from a non-play and performance lover. I thought it was absolutely incredible and fun with  Beatles music alongside it. Save money on tickets by buying them at reputable kiosk (Tix4Tonight) on the streets rather than directly from their website.

  2. The food is top notch. If you are a foodie like me you’ll appreciate stopping by your favorite Food Network chefs restaurants along the strip. Our favorite was Giada’s. The ambiance, restaurant staff, drinks, and food were above and beyond. Make a reservation, it is on a lot of peoples list for dinner! The lobster raviolis changed my life! We also went to Emeril’s and were not crazy about it. Giada’s just set the bar too high!

  3. Tours.. tours.. and Thunder Down Under? We went to Body Worlds because im a huge medical science nerd and we enjoyed the exhibit in Chicago. It is worth checking out! There is truly something for everyone and every age group. Speaking of Body World, changing speeds. For those of adult age Thunder Down Under is quiet entertaining and a perfect girls night out. Cute Australian male dancers that make all the ladies swoon and ice cold drinks to cool everyone down. Again buy your tickets at the kiosk (Tix4Tonight) for much lower rates!

  4. Checking out all the different hotels and their unique styles. From Italian canals with gondolas, pyramids, rain forest, and beyond every hotel has their own personality. We stayed at the Venetian which was beyond beautiful! You can get lost in there shopping, gambling, snacking, or taking a trip down the canal and be serenaded on a gondola. Hotels in Vegas because they want you to spend it elsewhere are quiet economical. Check out Expedia for bundle deals on flights and hotel together and make life easy.

  5. Go to Old Vegas! Although much of it is gambling there are tons of other options. It is a 15-30 min Uber ride away but worth seeing. Go zip lining, stroll down Fremont street, dance like nobody is watching, eat a monstrous burger at Heart Attack Grill, and people watch galore.

Conclusion:

We were in Vegas in January, although the weather was better than Chicago, it still was brisk with moments of warmth. During the warmer months the pool see. Looks incredible in Vegas. There’s also an abundance more of restaurants we’d love to try out. Even a rooftop mini amusement park is an option. With so much to do, there’s no way you can be bored in Vegas if you are willing to throw in your winnings from the casino.
